Automatic Weather Stations (AWS)

Automatic Weather Station, with funding of Rs15lakkhs, (phase I) and is in operation since 2008 and (phase II) is in operation since Aug 2011.

MBLM – Mini Boundary Layer Mast – ISRO

“Mini Boundary Layer MAST” is expected to commence shortly.

  • It Records Data for every second from various Sensors
  • Air Temperature and Relative Humidity , Wind Speed Solar Radiation (Short Wave) ,Solar Radiation (Long Wave) ,Soil Temperature sensors at 7 levels
  • Soil Moisture sensor at 6 levels,Rainfall Measurement
  • Atmospheric Pressure.

Microwave Tidal Gauge Installation (NIO)

Works on vertical skying by sending a narrow 5 degree beam vertically down to the sea level to measure the aerial height and thereby the sealevel.
